BDotnet Session 07/12

It was Saturday (07/12) 10:00 AM, I realized of the BDOTNET session happening today. I just wrapped up my other works so that I could be at 4 PM . Reached "ThoughWorks" at about 3:50 PM . I was waiting for the lift to show up and there I see Vinod Kumar walking across. It nice meeting him after some time. The bodtnet sessions for the day was on Application Deployment and Disaster Recovery. The first session was to be handled by a new comer (Vijay Raj) to Bdotnet but he is a MVP :) . In fact vinod also had not seen him , but eventually he was the first guy there. I was not sure of what was it going to be in the first session, I did not have much expectations.

The first session got started from Vijay Raj. It was the normal Presentations which he began with . All were very silent and I must admit the alertness of vijay in jumping over to a demo on MSI and I think that was a turning point which brought all the people in the room together. The session was amazing. I never ever knew that using MSI you can do so much. It was simply a new vision that envisaged in front me . Simply Hats off to Vijay. The sessions with Q & A ran for about 1.5 hrs. I would truly say a wonderful one.

The second was on disaster recovery by our very own homely guy Vinod. This was a session which
was part of the Virtual TechDays. It was great to hear on the various disasters that can happen. Insight to Database Snapshot was really wonderful. The database mirroring demo was amazing one. This was something I had not tried and nice to see a neat piece of demo.

Overall a very satisfying BDotNet Session……….. Hope to see much more happening sooooon…..

Cheers!!!
