Tech-Ed : Bangalore - Day 1

Today being a saturday i woke up to the excitment of Tech-ed organised by Microsoft User groups BDOTNET and BITPRO. Reached the view at sharp 9 AM and there was a good crowd though being a saturday. It indicate the technology enthuasim in them . The keynote was to be addressed by Ram , Director of Microsoft Technology Center. But it was delayed by some logistics issues. Finally the event started around 9:15 AM with the keynote. It was a good keynote on the future of software, it was really a eye opener on some facts. But it was cut short due to the time factor. I really felt he should have been give a little more time.
The second session was on "Windows 7 - Kernel Enhancements and Location Sensors" by Vic and Vijay. By the name of Vic, you can expect a good session. I am sure he is a big fan of windows 7 . Vijay gave a good introduction of some of the enhancements in Windows 7 and the best was on location sensors by Vic. The demo's was really cool ones. Awesome guys.....
The event was back on time management and the third session started off with the session on "ASP.NET 4.0 - Developing next gen web applications" by Chaitra. It was something i was looking for. It was a pretty neat session but i feel the demos could have been made better. I am all excited about it . I was thinking of downloading and using it but never got the time.. Now i will defintely get that done ASAP...
Finally a break arrived served with some hot tea/coffee.. Bang on time, clock striked 12 Noon and the session on "Solving Integration Challenges with BizTalk" started off by Kashi. It was a pretty good topic and he is a person who is technically very strong. He pretty much completed well before time .........
The session followed by the lunch break .. i need to write about the lunch organised also, it was a well organised one and hardly there was long queues. Great Logistics management on that :) ..
The post lunch started well before time by Meena on the topic "Birds of the same feather - BizTalk Server and WCF", this was also a good one and well structured and presented one. I really liked this. i am big fan of WCF and was eager for this session.
The next session was something expected to be exciting as Vic was presenting it and never the least the topic was on "Getting Started with Silverlight 3" . It was a really awesome presentation. I liked the new features and i sure this was well accepted by the audience too....
This session was followed by a tea/coffee.. and the last session was on the "Management" , i was seriously thinking of just attending for 15 minutes and leaving but i need to appreciate Sanath , he was splendid. He got the audience spell bound and attracted towards him. Some of the things he spoke was very inspirational . Hats off to Sanath........ keep rocking .........
The curtains for first day fell and looking for a exciting day 2......

Cheers!!!
